Introduction
This statement is published in accordance with Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Engage Capital Ltd trading as Engage Venture (“Engage Venture”, “we”, “us”, “our”) has taken to ensure that slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking (collectively “modern slavery”) is not taking place in our business operations or supply chains.
Engage Venture is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We have zero tolerance for modern slavery in any form and are committed to acting transparently in all our business dealings and relationships.
Our Business Structure
Engage Venture is a UK-based venture capital investment company that identifies, evaluates, and invests in early-stage and growth-stage b2b media businesses across various sectors. Our registered office is located in Weybridge, England.
As an investment firm, our supply chains are limited but include professional services such as legal advisors, accountancy firms, due diligence providers, technology service providers, and business consultants.
Our Policies on Modern Slavery
We operate the following policies to ensure we conduct business ethically and prevent modern slavery:
- Ethical Investment Policy: We conduct thorough due diligence on all prospective portfolio companies, which includes assessment of their employment practices, supply chain ethics, and compliance with modern slavery legislation
- Supplier Standards: We expect all service providers and suppliers to maintain high ethical standards and comply with applicable modern slavery legislation
- Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees, contractors, and business partners to report any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices
Due Diligence Processes
As part of our investment evaluation process, we:
- Review the employment and labour practices of potential portfolio companies
- Assess whether companies have appropriate modern slavery policies and procedures
- Evaluate supply chain risks in sectors identified as higher risk for modern slavery
- Require portfolio companies to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 where applicable
- Encourage portfolio companies to adopt best practice standards in relation to employment and human rights
Risk Assessment and Management
We recognize that certain industries carry higher risks of modern slavery, including construction, hospitality, agriculture, manufacturing, and care services. When evaluating investments in these sectors, we apply enhanced due diligence processes.
For our direct supply chains, we assess the risk profile of all material suppliers and service providers and engage only with reputable, professionally regulated firms.
Training and Awareness
All members of our investment team receive training on modern slavery risks, indicators, and reporting procedures to ensure they can identify potential red flags during the due diligence process.

- 100% completion of modern slavery assessment for all new investment opportunities
- Regular review of supplier compliance with ethical standards
